Found the same thing Deisel, my success rate for snorre is much higher on either live bait or popping. But popping without a doubt is the most effective way for them on some dams. Personally I feel dams with high volumes of Moggels are better suited i.e. Krugersdrift, Vaaldam, Bloemhof, Erfenis, Gariep, etc.

Popping up dead baits with foam has helped a helluva lot also.

This being said makes me wonder if residential dams where bread is fed and boilies are fished anf fed create a mpre relaxed feeding attitude for thr barbel. Easy meals means no hunting and less reaction to live baits and lures. I mean eating boilies requires 0 energy apart from suckinf them up. So it makes sense that they wont turn on a pumpkin seed.
