|HI Boys n Girls,
My comment is as follows.
I grew up on fresh, guided on fresh, moved over to salt and finnaly back to fresh ,mainly because of where my work took me.
There are aspects of fishing that appeal to me. I'm a artlure fisherman through and through. In the salt I plug for Kingies, leeries rapies for Kob. In fresh I try and go for every concievable fish we have in the country and attempt to catch them on Lure.
BAsically no one can discredit the fact that fish in the big blue are bigger meaner and stronger than fresh - however ever landed an 8kg barbel on 2lb line?
Different strokes for different folks I suppose. My answer is tha I have one foot fimly placed in salt and the other firmly placed in freshwater. I love both aspects of the sport and there is no way I can justify the one is better than the other.
As the saying goes "when in Rome do as the Romans do" so this applies to me when near the salt I will fish salt and so on and so forth.
