BRONZIE FESTIVAL 11 DECEMBER 2010

Two Oceans Angling will be hosting the First Annual BRONZIE FESTIVAL in conjunction with SASC (South
African Shark Conservancy) and the “Save Our Seas Foundation” to assist in Coastal Research Programs
to promote awareness in the Conservation and preservation of our precious coastal recourses.
Our objective is to tag as many Bronze whaler sharks as possible as part of research into the population
of Bronze whaler sharks in False Bay. Megan Mc Chord is the researcher from (SASC) who is doing the
study and members of the Two Oceans Angling Club will assist in the surf landing release and tagging of
the sharks

This is not only an exciting angling experience but also an opportunity to help research to assure that
the management of this species is done on good scientific knowledge.

MAIN PRIZE: Half the entrance fees paid up to a maximum of R5000 for the longest Bronze Whaler
measured, tagged and released.
WHEN: 11 December 2010.
WHERE: From Frans se Paal to the Macassar fence.
ROLL CALL MEETING: Macassar Engine 1 Stop from 07:00 to 08:00.
ANGLING TIMES: 09:00 to 15:00.
BRAAI AND PRIZE GIVING: Macassar Engine 1 Stop from 15:30 till late.
ENTRY FEE: R120 PER ANGLER, WHICH INCLUDES A BRAAI.
