Jet ski pods

I am looking at installing pods on my jet ski.
Can anyone give some advice? Pro's and cons.
I like the idea of having extra space and stability, but I don't want to compromise the performance and handling of the ski.
I'm also not very fond of drilling holes in the ski.
Which product would you guys suggest?

Jetski Pods a must, for sea fishing.
Contact Racetec Yamaha in Pinetown.
You can get clip on tubbies, 2 min on and off.
In the sea they provide awesome stability, and much needed storage for fish and gear.

In the dam they clip off in 2 min, and you ski is back to original.

I have just had some fast pods installed on my Seadoo.I cannot believe this new machine, and how much easier fishing is!Stability is now amazing! No more pitching and rolling, fishing in rough seas a pleasure.Only drawback with mine are they are bolted on,so would be a mission for me to take them off. However,I don't play around on dams with my ski,so it does not bother me that my pods are fixed. No more fish bags blocking up the gunnels.Do it,do it,do it!

Racetech tubbies are the real deal. They pioneered the tubbies and the rest copied them.My son has had two Jetskis and put tubbies on both. Racetech tubbies don't drag in the water. Speak to Pierre at Racetech in Durban he knows what he's talking about.

The point of installing Tubbies is not only to increase stability but also to provide storage, work surface and a place to mount rod holders, lunar tubes, live wells, safety bottle cages etc.

I can post photos of every single feature that you have made mention of, which has been fitted or attached to the inflatable version . . . which cost a third of the price of a set of tubbies

This photo depicts a 1m quick release detachable bag, armoured on the inside for fish fins & water proofed with a wetsuit grade zipper

I can furnish you with details of dozens of long standing customers who are very satisfied with this solution . . . Especially in lieu of SA Maritime Safety Authority’s jet ski related Marine Notice No. 18 of 2015 dated 27 August 2015

We obviously both have vested interrests in the respective products/solutions . . . so lets leave it at that?

Geez relax. I have and never have had vested interest in ANY jetski or jetski product. Your post mentioned how wonderful your pod are for stability without mentioning anything else. Why 3 people would want to walk around the edges of a jetski is beyond me. You were punting stability as your products strong point. I was merely pointing out that stability is not the primary reason for fitting Tubbies. We have considerable experience in my family of jetski fishing and have used Tubbies since they first came out. They have since been copied by different people with varying degrees of success. My opinion is if you want a rubber duck buy a rubber duck.

I'd be interested in seeing a lunar tube, safety bottle cage and live well attached to your pontoons

I Would NOT go for the inflatable ones...

Fishing hooks and gaff's does not play well with inflatable pontoons...

Go for the Racetech tubbys... I fished a couple of years without tubbys, and then installed them..

Fishing experience definitely better WITH the tubbies...

And I have dozens of satisfied customers that would refute your sentiments.

These pontoons are covered in a PVC armour layer in strategic places.
I have been in business for 29 years and have not had a SINGLE hook, gaff or fish fin puncture in all those years, on any of my customer's jet skis.
Neither have I EVER had an unhappy customer who is not 100% happy with his purchase, or the pontoon's performance
I HAVE MADE A PUBLIC STATEMENT WHO ANY PERSON IS WELCOME TO TRY & PROVE TO BE FALSE
In any case, our product complies 100% with SAMSA Marine Notice 18 of 2015 that was published on 27 August 2015 . . .  . cannot say the same, of most of our competition’s products

You see.... There's the difference... You have dozens of satisfied customers... Tubby supplier Racetech have 100's of satisfied customers....
