specimen angling at vosrite

Hey

i'm fairly new to specimen angling and would like to book a trip to vosrite!

i'd appreciate any advice on which campsite to book, wheres the best spots and what baits to use there?

also from the photos it look like its quite a steep drop into the water, does this cause any issues when landing fish?

You can do speci angling at Vosrite. I was there once during June 2013, the weather was good and plenty of fish was landed between 6 guys. I was the only speci angler but had the biggest fish an 8.9kg common and a 6kg mirror. Only mouse trapped with some particles and caught on boilies. I also lost a sizable fish due to snags so if you have a boat and fish finder use it.

Mana pools has no steep banks but it is quite expensive to book if you're only a couple of guys. We fished the chalet and it wasn't too bad but I believe the swims higher up are steeper. I've booked Alpha over Easter and judging from the photos it doesn't look to steep.

I've bought myself some GT boilies and then making a nice particle mix.

would you recommend baiting up the swim before i start fishing or would that be a waste in the river?

Went to Vosrite the past weekend - Awesome venue with super friendly and helpful owners\staff.

Would recommend taking a gas stove with hens no power points and the wind can get very strong during the afternoons.

Fished with GT boilies and tigers and only managed to catch 3 x Barbers ranging form 6 -10 kg's , These fish are super strong gave my gear a good run for its money. I fished Sheworry camp and netting the fish was a challenge due to the steep embankments , almost broke my nek a couple of times.

All said the venue is peaceful and the bird life is amazing.

I fish a bit up from vorsite at the wild water conservancy. I found a tiger nut feeding spot does the job

What u want the phone number. It's a cool place of u like monkeys and monitor lizards and all sorts of bait thieves. But all in cheap and not bad fishing if u can get it right in fast flowing shallow water
