Preferred braid?

Good morning gents.

So I'm in the process of getting a new setup and was wondering about braid. The idea is to have a braid spool as well as a spool filled with mono. Now the problem is the braid. I really like Sufix 832 as it is soft, durable and sinking, but it goes for R1400 now which is insane (600m). It was mentioned to me that JBD also makes good braid which sells for R900 currently (8X, also 600m). Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with JBD braid? I'm opting for this but I do not want to waste money on it if it's crap braid.

Thanks in advance.

2 different types of JDB braid the 1 is a floating braid and that goes for around R450 for 600m and the sinking 1 which is about R750 for 600m. The suffix 832 is around R900 to R1000 for 600m

Yes I'm referring to the sinking braid. It goes for R900 at my local shop, the 832 goes for R1400...
any suggestions? JDB good or not?

I have 600m of 30lb JDB with 200m of 50lb suffix 832 on each of my reels. I hardly get to use my JDB bec of the 200m leader I have on. I mate of mine has the sinking JDB braid and from what I see and the price difference I would rather go for the cheaper option as the both float.
I haven't had any issues with the JDB and if I am not mistaken there are sum good reviews about them.

Alwyn I think the cult is a bit overpriced for a somewhat unknown brand. The Climax superbraid isn't too bad considering the price and that it's 4 strand braid. Maybe look at spooling say 500M of superbraid and then about 200-300M of more expensive braid over that. I've been fishing with Spiderwire EZbraid for a number of years, it's wax coated and floats but have only been picked up once ever and it's cheap.

Look at the composition of the Braids. JDB is neither Dyneema or Spectra. It is braided polyethelene hence the low price.

HMP, Power Pro Slick, 832, Daiwa, Spiderwire, Whiplash, Gosen which clearly indicate dyneema/spectra will be the way to go.

If targeting trophy fish (other than Carp) then opt for high end braids and not cheap stuff like for example EZ Braid rather go for the proper Spiderwire, either Stealth or Ultracast

If just having braid as an option and for the sensitivity and diameter and not for FIGHTING fish then JDB will suite the application just fine

Thanks guys. I'm only going to use the braid for carp. I'm not really keen on floating as I do not want to get picked up by boats when we fish the bigger dams where boats are always present, hence me asking about the Climax which is apparently fast sinking.
I will have a look at some of those suggested lines. I do not know braid that well, other than knowing that 8 strand is recommended above 4.

I appreciate your help guys. Thanks!:)
