Waterkloof quarry

Hey guys, i made a quick visit to the waterkloof quarry the other day, it is now completely safe to fish...
I didnt have any time to fish but im planning to go this weekend, does anyone have any tips for pre spawn to spawning bass there...
Does anyone no what baits and colours usually works there,
Any info would be very kind and highly appreciated...

Hi JFT ,I live near to Waterkloof and would like to go check it out, where is the quarry is it the one near monument park shopping center?

Take the hans strijdom towards waterkloof. Go past the school and over the bridge over the n1 . Go to the next robot and turn right into kierieklaper. Turn left into cliff ave and then into skilpad you will see a veld and tennis court. The quarry is in that veld

How does one get to the fishing spot? Do you have to park and walk or drive along a dirt road? Never been there before and recently moved from dbn so looking for a nice spot to fish.
@rivbass what time will you be heading out?

hi yeah i went. no luck as the bass were still spawning and nest weren't close enough to cast to had one strike but missed the hook set. it is better to go with so sort of water craft cuz bank angling limits you quite a bit

Hey guys, i went about twice in the past month, i had a bit of a struggle but there was a pleasant regular that showed me the ropes. There is a point in the middle of the dam, its like a small island where the bass spawn, we targetted the nests with natural coloured jigs... I got two beauts in the past two times i went...

Planning on going again next weekend... I bought a small watercraft especially to target the offshore nests...

So is it really safe now? Really want to look into targeting the carp there but it would mean pre-feeding and sleeping over.

Dit kom voor of daar wel mense oorslaap. Of hulle nou visvang weet ek self nie maar daar is ligte in die aand wat aan is.

Daar is ook wagte wat patrolies doen op quads. Die plek is toegespan met lemmetjies draad maar om te se dis veilig is ek self nie seker nie.

Daar was al sprake van monster vis waar daar geland was vroeer maar dis ook net stories en ek het self nog nooit fotos gesien nie.

Wat dit intersant behoort te maak is die snags in die water vir die wat wil "pre feed" aangesien daar baie is.

Ek het al fotos gesien van 30lb karp wat daar uitgekom het. Het onlangs 'n pistool aangeskaf omdat meeste van ons damme onveilig is en ek nie bereid is om hengel op te gee nie.

Dagse manne - was iemand al weer by die quarry? Is dit heeltemal veilig daar - ek en junior wil graag n dag gaan vir karp.
Hoeveel kos dit om in te gaan en is daar enige ordentlike oewer plek van waar n ou kan ingooi?

Was 2 weke terug daar quarry is heeltemal toe... Wagte by hek jaag j dadelik weg...

Daai is ook n groot bord wat se geen hengel nie.

Was gister daar... Het die wag by die hek R100 gegee en hy het oopgemaak. Kort daarna het n ander omie ook kom fish...
