My Gallery: 
Hard to say - but if the house was built in the 60's, it could be Japanese Birch. 
Oregon Pine (Douglas Fir) has a clearer grain and knots and was used extensively before the 60's - but you would need to clean up a spot with some 200grain sandpaper and then look closely before you could see the wood grain properly.

Do that then post another close-up.
