Using stern eyes to tow tube/skier with jetsi

Can someone please give advise. I own a 2015 Yamaha FZR SVHO with no towing hook, as only the FZS comes out with a towing hook. I don't want fit a towing hook to the ski, as to keep it original.

I do want to tow a single tube/skier. I was told by the guys at Magson Marine in the Strand that you can use your stern eyes (which you use to tie the ski down to the trailer) to tow a tuber/skier. I was told to buy a "V" hook setup with a pulley and floating device.

Has anyone tried this before, is it safe for the stern eyes to pull a tuber/skier?

if you pull away like a hooligan you might encounter a risk of damage although I do not suspect it as such.

normally all is well.
if you are concerned, then just add some fender washers to widen the force applied.

fibre glass is much more stronger then guys think.
