Hi guys

Iam busy building my own beach trolley for all my fishing gear.

Any ideas or tips from guys that have done it already?

Specifically what type and brand wheel did you guys use? Where can I start to get prices on wheels?

Those prices look like they are for the whole trolley and wheels, still extremely expensive though.
FJ Stainless Steel in Struisbaai is now the SA importer / agent for Wheeleez last I heard, he also makes very neat carts, pricey but full stainless steel and solid - will last a life time. Not sure he has a website, but he is on Facebook. Other option is Bomba Beach Wheels - virtually identical. They also on Facebook, and have a website last I checked. Either way, you'd be lucky to get them for as little as R1200 each - I'd guess you'd pay roughly R1500 each now. But definitely better to fork out than go cheap with something like wheelbarrow wheels - they don't work half as well.

R62k for a beach trolley. You must be off your trolley! For R62K you could get someone to carry you and your tackle.

For 62k you can buy a boat with everything and you will never walk again!!!

I will suggest looking into maybe 4 wheeler wheels yes they might be a little heavier but will last for ever.
A quick search I see you can get second hand ATV tyres for 300 each
No puncture ever and you cant use up the tread even if you try.

Do you think the ATV tyre will work? Do you know of people that used is? I was also thinking about that, but was scared that it will be to big and heavy?

Use PVC piping with the bends glued and screwed together.
You can make your own for under R500

Measure your width of the loadbin of your bakkie before you build it.

I don't have a bakkie, only a small suv. I want to make it in such a way that it can either be fold up or be quickly put together with wing nuts.
