So i'm feeling the urge to purchase new short distance rods, currently i have custom 11ft short range rods which i cannot fault at all, except for being old and i do have a weakness for newer technology and new toys.
The criteria i am looking at is as follows,
* Fuji Guides
* Reliable winch
* Action - Moderate taper with full blank flex is ideal.
* Weight - the lighter the more sensetive the rod is.
* Accuracy of casting - soft vs stiff tip vs fishability
The local tackleshop advised the DC Pro, DC Elite, DC Pinpoint & the DC Pinpoint LTD (which will aestetically match my longer rods
)
I know that the norm is that short rods should not break the bank, but ive been down that road just to have a guide insert crack or break on the way to a comp. So please only advise on rods that have fuji guides please.
