19ft Nemesis Catamaran Build

So I've been wanting a catamaran skiboat for a while now and realised it is very difficult to get a good second hand cat on the secondhand market, they are all quite pricey and the ones that are under the 200k mark are either fairly old and outdated hulls or they are smaller cats which personally I don't take as a good characteristic for a catamaran hull shape. Small cats don't do it for me.

Anyways having studied boat design I thought to maybe do a cold molded once-off design, until I realised my neighbors will never afford me another boat build project so I had to turn to a builder. Long story short I thought it might be worth going the whole plug to mould route in case more than one person might be interested in owning one.

I really enjoy looking through boat builds so I thought I would share this one.

Haha, for this one I'm lucky to have a builder, but there is also a lot of work from the design side they are sometimes building faster than as far as I have drawings for them.

Good luck with your build refurb! I can't seem to find the thread for it?

This is a big adventure for you for sure .
But you are spot on when it comes to used cats .
Most of are beaten to death by surf launching , others old and ugly too.
Butt cat keeps price best of all . Best ride too.
On other side to order 22ft yeld is 2 year waiting with boat and trailer coming to just above R 600k .
When you add engines and electronics - on R1.2 Bar easy .
I hope you will not be using any wood in transom and stringers.
Most important also is to seal top and bottom hull behind rub rail . I seen many local manufactures do some really crap patch jobs . And that is how water gets below the deck and then water logs the foam .
Post us with your progress of your mini World Cat . Looks cool !
