I own two Policanskys -- one (4B) brought with me from SA to New Zealand a decade ago, and a second (Monarch 2000) bought from Sharnbrook Tackle in Australia about 4 years ago. Brilliant, tough and simple reels without any equal on a price:performance basis.

But recently, on trying to find out where they are now, they are invisible. Is their factory in Maitland still operation? Can you buy a new Polly in any SA tackle shop or are they rare in their own homeland too?

just got off the phone with Roger what a great help! previously on phoning maxwells I got someone insisting that they don't stock parts for polly's anymore...after speaking with Roger it looks like they still stock spares and he was extremly helpful in providing me with some tips on how to keep the drag smooth....my day is made!!! thanks Walt&Copper.

I have 5 Policansky reels that I have used for the last 15 years and never had any problems with them. Good allround reels. Always great service from Roger.
