Hi there GTD.
I am going down to plett once again this year with my little semi rigid. I want to do some bottom fishing and a bit of trawling. Are there any spots that you could reccomend?:pad::
It's so hard to get info on where to do some fishing there. I am new to the fishing thing and would like to get hooked this December. Any advice would be much apprechiated!

Hi Reyno

When are you coming down? The best would be to come out with me for a day first then take your boat out.

It's a bit early for garrick but you can troll Robberg beach from the BI to the lifesaver stand. Don't pass that, you'll be in a restricted area. Then from the mouth all the way to where the rocks start at Enrico's (spelling). Be careful the swell from where the peninsula (between the lagoon and surf) ends and Enrico's can get big and they stand up out of nowhere. Watch the rips.

The blinders are good for shad (use a spoon), but the area between the rocks and BI is reserved for paddle skis.

For bottoms go to Natures and scratch around. If you don't know that area I'd suggest you stay away from the rocks because there are some nasty pinnacles and you don't want to end up on one of those.

Good luck

Hi GTD.

Thankns a mil!

I might just take you up on your offer- like I said, I really am clueless.
Where or what is the "Blinders"? (Sorry)
Is there somewhere or someone that I can contact that will have a map of where I can go fishing?

Just to get it straight:
I can fish from the Beacon Isle to the first life saver stand on Robberg Beach, or to the one in the middle of Robberg beach (cause there are three life saver stands I think)
I can fish from the Keurbooms mouth by Lookout, to in front of Enrico's restaurant/ pub (but must not pass the rocks in front of the restaurant).
