Icstuff, when your a superhero like me, and have a huge fan base
they tend to do drawings of you. This Avatar was drawn by Elmo
a dyslexic, bi-polar, blind and deaf chimpanzee with only one arm and no legs
at an El Salvador rehab for chimps who got addicted to coca cola and brandy whilst workng in the circus industry.
I have to use them or the populace think I dont care about the little people
who put me where I am today. Its all about the fans.

hey julle wat so aan gaan en k@k praat....I think for us here in the Southern cape, bait presentation and water reading is of the UTMOST IMPORTANCE.
Without it you wont get fish on the hook, no matter if you cast to Marion island!!
The gruntertijies etc are right here in front of you, within mtrs of your tackle box. I think this prevails in most areas(correct me if I am wrong)The fish are sensitive to the correct bait, water conditions (temp/clarity/wind/current)tidal conditions as well as barometric pressure. So with all these factors in your note book, its not just a 6oz and away we go!!

Psy...........Your Also Fired !!

You failed to co - operate with the team and read the question properly
and answer accordingly. They feel they just cant work with you. And the shrivelled old guy sitting here next to me says you have poor management skills and he doesnt trust you to fillet a pilchard. I cant trust you to run one of my multi billion dollar firms, I mean fishing expeditions, I have to let you go.
You...... Are ........Fired.

You can go join ICSTUFF in the basement, I employed him as my new janiter as he didnt have the taxi fare to get home and was hanging around the lobby deliriously going on about seeing dead people ...... and so I can have the pleasure of firing you again at a later stage.

The remaining Sealiners who followed the rules and answered correctly can join me on my new 3 story yacht for sundowners and highly expensive Poached South African Abalone and Arlikreukel ( Thanks Marthinus ) My yacht cost $ 2 billion but when your as arrogant as me, you need these things to pull tail......Trump Out !!

Someone needs to get his fans to make him an avatar with two men in white lab coats  taking him away in a special jacket to a safe place for him to relax.

One more outburst like this icstuff and not only will I have you medicated
so that you dont see things aymore, I will fire you again and promote
someone else to Head Trump Towers Basement dweller and Janiter.

Just remember icstuff, no one is irreplaceable.

I am off now for 2 days in The Commores at my new $48 billion dollar
Trump hotel, it costs alot, but I give all the Miss World winners an apartment
there for life, so I got alot of work to do. When your parents named you
after a cartoon duck who cant talk properly, you have to resort to things like this to pull tail.....Trump....out !!

a bit of both..the sooner you can master both of them the better..there are lots of fish close to the beach/rocks if you cant cast far..just choose your spot according to water conditions and where the fish are most likely to feed..like brusher/musselcracker that prefer white foamy water amongst reefs and rocks..and cob that like feeding on sandbanks with deeper gulleys on the side...a protea angler told me that his success comes from what he learned...TO THINK LIKE A FISH/SHARK ..a zambie like grunter/diamond rays..and those you find in the dirty water around river mouths..or like a pignose grunter/white steenbras..the like feeding on sand crabs and creatures that are found on sandbanks..so that is the most likely spot where you would try for a steenbras..same with fishing on rocks..they feed where there is food available..or mostl likely to find food..and allso very important..no matter how well your bait presentation is..use the correct bait for the target species..dont use a crab for cob..or chokka for galjoen..well it happened before that they get hooked on those..but its not the norm..Steal with your eyes!!you will learn alot!

LOL hahahahaha :hyst: Urchin thanx for making my day so far

On the subject, I'd say bait presentation and placement. If I go to an estuary and cast 50m into the deep end, Im gonna catch jack diggly squat! But cast 10m or even 5m in the shallow parts I am garenteed (spelling?) a bite. But if I cast 10m into the shallow parts with 15kg line, a 4/0, and a sh!tly tied on pink prawn, Im gonna be parking there for a very very long time, but theres always exceptions to the rule
