All of us have PB catches on our profiles, but that does not tell the story of that catch! I think it would be very interesting to know from you guys and gals what your most memorable catch was, when and how it was caught and why that fish stands out for you?? add a pic if you have one?
i'll start
i am still a novice when it comes to PB's but for me it must be the little Kingie i caught in Durban harbour about a month ago. when we set out the day i had 2 fish i wanted to get, a nice size grunter and a kingie on dropshot, so when we started fishing, i got out the berkley minows and started casting, 2 and a half hours and nothing happened, so i decided to put down the lures and join the others with the cracker baits and at least get a grunter for the pan! there was no problem with the grunter, as all of us got at least one decent fish, but our time was running out and i just felt something was missing from the day! then out of nowhere my little elbe estuary rod bent almost double and my little daiwa reel screamed, at first i thought this could be the grunter i was looking for, but after about 5min of fighting, it came up next to the boat, and i saw it was a small Kingie! i was out of my skin happy, i almost capsized the 16ft cat!lol ::S
it stands out for me because it was the first time i got the fish i was targeting! even if it was not on dropshot! ad::
