Hi there guys

My name is Werner and I would like to know your opinion on whether we following too much trends when it come to:

·         Dips and muti’s

·         Equipment (rods and reels, muti boxes etc)

Are we actually going forward with all the different dips / equipment on the market or are we being manipulated by a money-making industry (sometimes when I look at my equipment and methods I just wonder what happen to old school).

Thank you, looking forward to read your insights with regard to this.

I suppose they make advancements in technology for a reason hey, so old school is literally old school and outdated and not as capable as the newer stuff. That being said, I still enjoy old school. I have a penn jigmaster and would love to get a penn 49 somewhere just because its nice fishing with a piece of history. I have more advanced stuff too, such as graphite rods and slosh reels and enjoy fishing with them just as much, but there is a certain pleasure to fishing with old school stuff
