Was there from thusday the 24th to Saturday the 25th. It seems to be under new mangement and they are making some good improvement. The resore is close to Koppies town, even closer to the highway but not on Koppies dam but on a dam called roodewaal dam.
Chalets sleep 4 people with a fridge, toilet, shower and basin and microwave. The chalets are not that close to the water, roughly 300m.
You can fish the dam itself or the renoster river.
It seems to be a rather wild (unfished) dam and I trying to find a productive spot and good baits on an unknown water is never easy. We also had some really bad weather (lightning storm and torrential rain on Friday afternoon and evening. Managed 9 babers for the weekend, all on worms. No Carp or other fish but the workers caught some really good carp at the river when are been released into the dam. The renoster river links the dam to Koppies dam so I would assume there are good fish there. The bottom seems silty and in hindsight, my carp rigs were not suited to this condition. We didn't have a snag or drop a single rig the entire weekend.
