Gents,

Not sure what has happened here but I sure hope the Oom has not left SEALINE due to some nasty stuff...

Thursday morning and already the heat of the day can be felt..no wind and very misty up to sunrise. The water is 18deg and the colour is that green and black, excellent Cob water and not that blue prefered by Stumps...We left last night at 03h00 and went to target the bigger fish as the previos night quite a lot of Steenbras,Geelbek and Cob were caught. There were plenty boats on the water and many guys fishing throughout the night from the shore.Nobody got any big fish!!Not even a shark.....we all had the best bait one can get,but no fish came on the bite.I checked with the shore anglers and they only got a few small Stumps.I was a bit more lucky as I caught a few good size stumps...but again they do not bite, only suck on the bait and when you feel your line is getting heavy, you strike. This can only be done on light tackle. Strangely the bigger stumps prefer white mussel and some take red bait instead of prawn.
But this is typical to Langebaan..the one day good catches are made and the next day...nothing!
This weekend seems to be good for fishing as Friday and Saterday should be warm and with little wind..while a strong wind is expected for Sunday.I will not put too much hope on Spreeuwalle as up to yesterday afternoon a fresh Northerly wind pushed the surface water down into the lagoon. This can change if the South/Easter picks up,but it`s not predicted. The slight wind that we expect from the South, should, however,be just perfect to put the fish back on the bite and with good weather conditions,it might be a nice outing to give the Baan a try on Saterday.
It is also dark moon ,so the current is strong.Strange, but Steenbras like it this way. There are also Elf of good size,in the 3kg range,on the bite..don`t be tempted to keep it,the season is closed and the inspectors are busy.Talking about inspectors, please note the daily speed traps between Langebaan and Mykonos and also the road blocks on the Westcoast Rd.
Well that`s it for the weekend..we hope you are blessed and that you will catch your fry...

Wayne, unless Daisy is a member of CTF, it seems to me we have someone directly copying the Daisy report for another forum.... I would like to know if this is with or without the author's consent.....

The thing that bugs me is I got a PM from someone to go look,so I had to register, and loan and behold Oom Daisy is a member and that is fine with me,what worries me most of all is that he did not post the report here but on CTF,if there is something wrong, and someone here has peed on his battery or worse, I would like to know so we can sort this out...
