After the depressing fishless weekend :(of the 12th,  my optimism has now returned for the next weekend after seeing Buoy Weather prediction. Early on in the week the forecast was a blustery South wind and has now changed to a lovely green condition for Saturday.  Don't it just look good.  Lets hope they keep it that way:bflip

 Saturday 1/19 Morning

Light winds with a slight chop. Small short period wind waves.
Winds: N 7 to 9 knots

Seas: SSE 3 feet at 10 sec.

 Afternoon

Winds: NW 7 to 9 knots

Sea temp still looks cool at the Point @ 17c.  Anyone got any advice on going to the Point for some Ytail this weekend?

Won't catch me in the deep for all the tea in China but you WILL find Vixen in that bay somewhere, maybe right on the other side around that other lighthouse by the hanging klip.

Skippy how you finding the Okuma Titus, I see it in your profile.

You can't judge the deep by the point or windfinder and you can't judge the point by buoyweather. If the deep is that calm and there's fish, then the bay run of mayhem is always worth the whiplash.

Howdee Hammertime.  These weather prediction changes are almost as bad as a woman.  First it's a go, then a no go.  In see Buoy has gone back to SE 14 knots for Sat. I think someone has fiddled the program back in USA somewhere.  Well its back to gardening or painting the house for the weekend:headb

I have only caught one yfin on the Okuma and my two sons had to help me out to crank it in. But value for money I thought it was a good buy.

Ja the bulk of which were longfin.
Remember that a pole boat can pull nearly a ton out of a shoal in a matters of hour or so.

We've pulled 60+ longies quick quick. 20 out of a drift/
