Howzit guys, i am looking for someone to service my 30hp Yamaha motor ( 2 stroke). The agents are just to expensive. I am prepared to pay a reasonable price for the sevice.
tyson hi.what kind of service do you need.is the motor running or not.to service a 30 hp yamaha please call 0825548851 for a quote.thanx willie.ps.i am in kroonstad
There is not much to service on a 30hp 2-stroke, change plugs, change gear box oil, apply a bit of grease where necessary, clean fuel filter, and thats about it, pretty much a DIY job, but if it's a 4-stroke rather go to the dealer.
Bought the boat a few months ago. While i was busy getting the trailer, Buoyancy, seaworthy etc sorted out the motor was not started. When i tried to start it motor just turns but does not start. I would like someone to go through the whole motor and check it out for me. I am not mechanically inclined so it might just be something small. the previous owner started the motor for me.
The motor does not have a manual that i can refer to and being my first boat i may not be following the correct starting procedure. Please help.
Guys thanks for all the replies. I must agree with DWB that i have got to learn to service and understand how my motor works. I need to hook up with someone in the Vaal triangle who can show me the basics and guide me through the starting , switching off procedure as well as how to store my motor in the winter.
