Rubber ducks are easy to handle, launch and you do not need a big 4x4 to tow but they are open and not women friendly.

Cabin boat anyday. Rubberducks are ok for playing around with but cannot beat the versatility of a good cabin boat.

When the weather is crappy you can still fish in the river. Try it in a rubberduck and its a cold, miserable experience.

Pontoons on a used rubberduck are always dodgy, so if you do decide to go that way just make sure they are checked thoroughly. 

I am of the older generation and always look at a duck as boat that is thrashed and lacking in good maintenance. That said I have seen some good ones on Gumtree. But then for the price you can get a good ,solid cabin boat which is suitable for the whole family.

Depends what your main activities are likely to be.

Ken nie die regte term vir 'n chucky, maar dis ons die klein visser skuitjies noem hier in valsbaai, en ons het daai ouens al op heavy rowwe weer buite die baai gesien.

Soliede boot elke keer. Die kinders moet maar in die swembad met die lilo gaan ry as hulle op iets wil ry wat opblaas, en ek sien tot ouer mense koop nou opblaas poppe, seker ook vir die swembad want ek het nog nooit een van hulle op die see gesien nie.

Mens moet nie gerief onderskat nie. As jy gerieflik is kan jy vir 'n baie lang tydperk moeilike omstandighede trotseer, terwyl as jy ongerieflik, ongemaklik koud ens kan mens dit nie lank verduur nie. Rubber bote klasificeer nie juis onder grieflik nie, en soliede bote kan net so veilig wees.

lol daar is altyd n eerste vir als. Dalk n idea wat n mens vir die rubberduck vervaardigers moet gee.::S::S

Dalk sal die ouens daai wippery deur die chop geniet ;-)

I had both and unless you are one of the guys that live on the river, I would rather buy a duck. You can take more people with you, you have more deck space and it is in a sence the same than a walkaround boat.

My opion
