Struis......awesome venue for anything Salt Water, don't know about any fresh water activities besides adding a some whiskey to it....HAHAHAHA!!!! On its day Struis is probably the best venue for something like this. Loads of accommodation and every specie from Lessers through Raggies and Bronzies to Crackers and big Galjoen with trophy class Cob and Steenbras on offer! Throw in the Monstrous Black pylies and exceptional Black Spotties and Duckbills as big as anywhere else in SA....Damn....I just drooled on my keyboard!! Oh and these fish are all available on bricks or sand.....you choose! Spearos can shoot Y'tail and even Tuna at times...off shore guys even get some bill fish there if current reports are anything to go by! Struis is ons huis!

I'm pulling closer to struis as well now. The vrou just hit me in the you know were. My wedding is the 29th sep. so the dates will have to be before that  We just have to see how many Fresh water guys want to attend before making that decision. If we can not accommodate for them we will have to try and arrange a separate bash for them, more inland were there are allot more freshies as well? Keep the ideas coming guys. Hier is 'n Hoxies in PTA-Wes waar jy enige soort vis kan kry. Ons kan dan meer tyd aan die social spaandeer as om die opposisie met sinkers en hoeke te probeer elimineer.

Hi Guys, Mazeppa sounds really great. I will try and be there, irrespective of the venue - I am sure I will find a Raggie hidden somwhere there !! Really looking forward to fishing with you guys again. I met Definition at Mossel Bay earlier in the month. Great guy - with lots of local knowledge. I rate the EL and PE guys have a bash at fish point for non-eds. Pick a day that the weather should play ball 3 days before and then we off.

HAHAHA, Angus. We dont fish the pier any more. Been on that slab 3times this year and that was more than enough. Simply no fish in PE at this stage!!! @Dave, seems the only spot you know is fish point?

Uhm guys what is up with the low response on the bash? Dont you guys want a bash this year? Last year 80+ people voted on the pole between cpt and pe and this year absolutely nothing is happening. I have some sponsors on board for the prizes and hoping to get one or two big ones on board. If anyone wishes to sponsor towards the sealine bash please pop me an pm. Thanks Mark.

Hi Guys, We must decide on a date. Fresh water guys you must be able to tell me what will work for you as well. We can do September or August. September is the start of leagues so we must work around that. The boating guys can you shed some light on what the fishing looks like in Eastern/Western cape around that time of year.

I think it will be better to have seperate bashes for fresh and saltwater, jusy for the sake of logistics. Struis sounds like a great venue for R&S and how about pongolapoort (Jozini) for fresh water.

Theres a little bit of fresh water close to Sedgefield at Groenvlei (for the bass-ers)thats if you consider Knysna as a venue. IMHO ~ Knysna is a b@ll ache...its too overated and far too expensive. I second the motion Struis or Jongens area.
