So as we all know there is many many good baits for sharks. I am sure most fisherman has landed a shark on almost any bait other than red bait? So I would like to make a vote as to what bait you prefer above all the rest from the list I put out below.

When going big then Swimbait but seldom results in a pickup

Shark head is probably the most resilient and longest lasting bait so when putting a big bait in for a long wait I prefer the head.

Grunter or yellow tail head for sliding or mullet and makkie throw baits ,even shad heads work for me
Hammerhead swimbait or a diamond swimbait for a proper pull
Or a whole chocka for a duckie or a okkie for a pylie.
I like my makkie and mullet throw baits tho!

I don't particularly care for bait, I rather have cooked meals or eat sashimi....however a lot of blokes curse for this bait.

Here in KZN a Pinky head, elsewhere I think its called a Varkie. Cut it as follows. Top of head in line with gill cover at an angle as such that the dorsal and tail fin is removed. Hook is inserted from bottom of head and pushed through so that it protrudes through the other side between the eyes. Greys and most flatties will eat this. Next is a Snapper Salmon head, the one with the three teeth. Cut off at an angle such that the belly of the fish is still part of the bait. A Cob head.......... All baits presented as per pinky head application. Make sure all fish heads are from legal sized fish. Make sure heads are always pinned as described.

Re - 1. The hook point will be proud.
2. The head will not come off.
3. The head will remain in position on the hook sothat it does not result in the hook becoming embedded into the head making the hook useless.
