SAFETY EQUIPMENT FOR CATOGORY R VESSELS OPERATING INLAND.




2x Spaces blankets.




1 Litre of drinking water per person on boat.




1 Approved first aid kit, white cross on green background.




1x Waterproof torch, batteries and spare globe. (night operations only)




1 Approved life jacket per person on board.




1 Fire extinguisher per motor of 1,5 kg each,(dry powder) date and serviced by approved dealer.




1 Capsize rope suitable for type of craft.




2 Oars or paddles for vessels with single motor




1 Anchor proper patented and suitable for area of use.




1 Suitable chain not less than 3m in length for boats under 6m.




Bow eye and stern eyes.




Anchor ballard.




Suitable scuppers.




Petrol tanks. Red or white. SAMSA approved.




Suitable spares to carry out repairs out to sea and to machinery.




Tools for the above.




Inflatibles to have air-belows and suitable repair kitt.




All equipment to be marked with registration number. Water repelent marker used.




Trailer to be marked with: owners name, telephone nr, boat reg. nr. and adress.




Emergency steering. Connected to motor and in working condition.




Bailing device.




Inspection hatches (foam or bottles) minimum of two




Electical wires in good condition




Suitable steering




Petrol tank and battery seperatly

hello hotstuff , do u by any chance know what catogery a inflatable falls into ,its 2.90 long ,3 chambers , takes up to a 5hp motor  , its one of those ARK ducks seal sp2 also what is minimum saftey equipment to be carried on , its mostly used on estuaries and lakes . thanks Mike.

mike as far as i know you need only the life jackets because its a inflateble its got 3 air tubes but you gonna put some padles on aswell

You do not require space blankets for Cat R and drinking water is only required from Cat D and above.
