Yes, indeed Fritz has got a very very nice collection, those ABU reels are way more expensive than the Penns, from a collector's point of view. I should update my pics of my collection, as loads were added to it.

Hallo there, my penn senator collection is coming on very well. Got a 14/0 last week, didn't have the box butt very good condition. My next mission is to get the bottom range from 4/0 down. Going down to the coast so hopefully I be hunting penn reel. ![]() Attachment: WP_20141122_001.jpg (Downloaded 160 times)

Penn Senators are still available as new from the states and I've brought quite a few into the country. I started selling some xtra's new and in their boxes on Sealine but received verbal abuse for ripping people off. It appeared to me that some people think that a 20 year old senator from a pawn shop is identical to a 2013 model and will perform just as well. If you really want to get your hands on the latest Senators, check out "http://www.basspro.com/PENN-U-S-Senator-Conventional-Reels/product/14062009562413/"

Will go and have a look. What I really enjoy more than anything is the stories and were the reel come from. This 14/0 was used at sodwana, the last time was about 30 year ago.

The 49A (centre) and the jigmaster (left) are legends in their own right. I'd use them on the boat, it's what we used to use before we became high tech.

On Friday night a old friend came around and gave me a jigmaster with the box. Again this reel was not used often, the reel to rod clamp was still in the small bag. With a spare red spool. Attachment: WP_20141206_001.jpg (Downloaded 94 times)
