Hi, want to know from you gentlemen what and how many reels was added to you collections. I was lucky to get my hands on a 12/0 and 10/0 senators in the last month. The 12/0 has got a 3 piece spool with brass, still had a yellow line(type of dagron) on the spool. Interesting thing is that it has bushing instead of bearings like the 10/0 and 16/0. Must be an older reel, after google search. Guys recon dates back round about the 1950's. Like to hear from you guys, thanks.

Still use an old Abu Ambassadeur 30. I will retire it at the end of this year. Will go alongside the others.

Dirty Harry The Senator reels with the 3 piece spool, are the older models indeed. They do have a habit of splitting, under pressure. If mono is used. You must check there is another post like on the history of Penn.

Thanks, will have a look. Me and plonk62 will have a little meeting at his place this weekend. He has got some nice reels. I need to focus on the really collectable reels, at this stage I am a heyna.If it looks like a penn reel I buy it.
