I recently moved to Cape Town to study and I was wondering if there is any good Bass Fishing Dams in Cape Town.I live in Brackenfell so anything close to it? Thanks for the help

Hi boikielouw Did you manage to find any bass spot around cape town? I have move here reasontly and also on the hunt for bass spot.

Have a look at La Lancha Dam on the Botlary road, R40 per person catch and release, children under 12 fish free. They have bass, blue gills and tilapia.

Nowhere in SA is big numbers of bass, you need to hunt for them. Becoming a scarce hobby.

Doordekraal can be fished with permit and floattube. other than that nothing great very close. Hillcrest whine farm also a option seen some okay size bass there... if you can get a contact at Tigerwatrefront you will be blessed hahahahahha

hi guys i also just moved to Cape town..and was looking for a spot to get some bass or carp i fished Doordekraal and Hillcrest this weekend for bass and carp not even a welcome bite to say hi ![]() but im still on the lookout Aubrey - you not the only one to say that about Tigerwaterfront

Morning peeps im gowing to a dam this afternoon after work will drop a link its in stellies ive caught there once be for and a mate of mine caught there as well not the biggest. But good for bank fishing. Ho try little prinsses vlie have heard and seen some desent pics of fish come out there
