Advice needed

Hi All,
First post on sealine_seal1_

I am hoping to get some advice on inflatable boats for dam/river angling.

Currently looking at a seahawk 3-4 person inflatable from intex. Anyone here familiar with this specific brand? the good, the bad?

Also where can I acquire some reasonably priced life jackets/flotation jackets?

Thanks in advance.

Hi it is good to be here, I was looking at the intex mariner and they come at double the price for the same size unfortunately. Ended up buying the seahawk 3. Now looking at modding it with a wooden floor. I will share some vidz/pics/review of the inflatables performance and the whole modding process. ;)

Hi, any vid/pics availible yet, I also got a Seahawk 3 and will be doing some mods in about two weeks time, will be doing the wood floor and maybe some seats. Any advice will help.

I have the Mariner 4 - has an inflatable keel and a floor system which makes it very stable and bouyant.
I used Velcro strips to secure 2 big jim storage boxes to the floor. The boxes double up as seating. Also attached additional pvc rodholders to the boxes.
At the moment we paddle but as of the end of feb I will be running it with a 2.5hp Suzuki 4stroke.

Not as of yet Morgan sorry, the plan is to get PVC pipes to go inbetween the grooves on the floor, then cutting a plywood board to the proper dimensions, and segment it in 2-3 pieces, the plywood will be varnished, and I want to add stick-on carpeting to it, also want to use a piece of hosepipe to go around the plywood to stop it from damaging the boat in any way. when I do buy a motor, I am planning on using a cheap cooler box as battery housing and seat.

Hi NWfisher, thanks for your reply, i am planning to do the same thing with the floor. I was thinking of using two crates to make seats as it will double as storage. here is a picture of my idea.

Will be doing the carpets for the wood floor over the weekend, will also be putting nice thick sponge on the two seats before covering. Let me know what you guys think and any other add-ons I can do. Cheers
