That is a good looking console, where does it come from?
Is your transom not a bit "thin", just asking don't know the calculations myself but your putting a lot of weight and power in there.

Transom once glassed will be 6+18+18+6 = 48mm plus 48mm x 400mm gussets in each hull, will be plenty strong even for double the power.

Yesterday we made shape templates and started cutting the bulkheads. Its raining today so looks like work will have to continue next week as I am working outdoors with this project.

Finally managed to find some time to get some work done on this project. All the bulkheads are in and epoxied to the boat, the beams have all been aligned to ensure a flat floor, now we will start glassing them in.

All the Bulk heads got glassed in and then I got busy and the project stood for a while, now we have put all the stringers in and after glassing these in we will start with the floatation and the floor.

I don't know much about the 666 but the hull looks like it will make a great stable fishing platform and will have a very shallow draft. The keel strips are very wide and flat and as you say the tunnel wide and square.
The boat itself is big as it is almost 2.5m wide and 6.615 long. I have set the transom at 610mm but the gunnels are about 1000mm. I also like the large square nose as it makes a great casting platform and looks like it will divert wake away from the boat when on the plane when the wind blows. It is very solid and a great hull for the application I am going to use it for.

Please explain what you mean it should sit open at the back

I mean with those broad square pontoons, the tunnel should be open in the back when at rest, and even more so when on the plane. I am trying to say the tunnel should be open from front to back so you can see light through it. Boat should not "spit" out the front when trolling. The Buttcat derivative boats have too small pontoons towards the stern resulting in "hang ass". The boat starts drowning in the back. The bigger the four strokes and/or the smaller the boat, the worse it gets.

We have filled the hull with almost 4 cubic metres of Cross Link Closed Cell Expanded Polyethylene Foam.
She is a lot bigger than she looks.
I also cut out the floor panels and started building the front casting platform.
She is starting to look like a boat.
