I've got the 8ft. It's a great, solid rod.

Awesome, i am looking to get the 9ft for barbel angling from the shore and pairing it with a Shimano Baitrunner. Do you know what the casting weight rating of the rod is?![]()

Cast whatever you want to cast with it. Remember it is not a long range casting rod. We tested them at Bloemhof in the sloep fishing 50lbs braid and lock and hold fishing, broke some braid and hooks but no rods. Fitted with Fuji BNOG Guides and a Biofiber composite blank, no rod is unbreakable but I'm sure this one is damn close

Yip my site, not 100% active but correct pricing. Different to the Ugly in that it was designed for tackle used by catfish anglers and their existing tackle in RSA. Bigger guides for the larger reels and the rod will work with both multiplier and fixed spool

Excellent catfish rods and very tough. I have 6 x 8ft and 2 x 9ft Whiska Catfish rods that me and my son have started using. (Bought them on advice from Enigma) and I am very happy with them. Have had only one oportunity to test them but they are awesome and for the price you cannot find a better catfish rod. I pair my 8ft with Big Alvey's and will use the 9ft's with a big grinder. I like the bit of softer tip and the awesome backbone power. Attachment: 2.JPG (Downloaded 478 times)
