Total Noob

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the world of fishing in a way, been doing a lot of throwing bait at the sea without anything ever showing interest since I was a kid. However as I've gotten to the point where I can buy my own tackle I've realized there's a much deeper art to targeting and catching fish which I've always been unaware of.

Although I have yet to catch a fish to write home about, the bug has bitten and I've plunged into the deep end and started fly fishing, bass fishing and surf fishing... While it started of as a good idea I now have 3 new hobbies to try learn

Hopefully with all the knowledge on this forum you guys will get me to the right place in catching fish out of skill and not dumb luck, and hopefully that which I learn I can pass on to the next noob in need of some guidance.

Look forward to learning from you guys and sharing some success stories,
Thanks in advance

Welcome Johan, all three of those require significant skill, good thing is you can do one if conditions aren't right for the others

Thanks guys, Im sure ill find plenty of help here and worst case scenario learn by trial and error and post what worked for others.

DocPhil: they certainly do take skill each in their own right but I'm up for the challenge, and I can fish where ever I go now which is a bonus:f1shy
