Was in Mossel Bay last week, went out on a fishing charter on Tuesday.
Started with trolling for Sarda Sarda and caught plenty, the water was literally boiling around the boat as they chased after the small fish. We then settled on a reef off Reebok and caught a few nice Santers, and small Elf. One nice kob and several undersize Geelbek came out. Almost all catches were made on chokka and sardine combos. Onboard was an Aussie team of 3 men and a woman. After about 20 minutes after the launch, they were pale and green and started to feed the fish hanging overboard. I kept two santers of about 50cm for the braai, rest released.
