Okuma Metaloid Rods: Spinning vs Surf Spin

Hi Guys

I'm in the market for a new rod (12,6 - 14ft) for my new Daiwa BG 4500 reel. I'm looking for edibles only, like galjoen, cob, steenbras etc.

Not really worried about catching sharks etc, but if they want lunch, we can have that fight.I have a 10ft adrenalin triple x with a penn grinder already spooled with mono

The BG 4500 is spooled with braid. What will be the best option for the BG 4500.

I'm not sure I will go out spinning lures, but who knows, will be good to have all the options covered.

Thanks for your advice. Much appreciated

Currently have the metaloid 13.6ft (6-8 ounce) paired with a bg5000. Thinking of perhaps getting a bg6500 for the metaloid 13.6ft.

Think for 4500 the 12f metaloid will be a better fit.

Hi Guys

Update

I bought a Metaloid 12'6 surf spin from Ganis On-Line Shop on Monday, received it (in CPT ) on Thuesday. I notice it did not had a bionic finger or space and if you want to add one, you need to cut into the foam on the handle. So, I contact Ismail at Ganis and he had no problem in exchange it. Thank you sir.

Now have the 13ft Bluefish ZERO (2 - 4oz) , paired with the BG 4500 and 30lb braid and a 80lb leader (=- 5m). Went out yesterday for the first time, (and remember, I'm still new to fishing) and the longer the day goes, the better my casting got, and I'm pretty sure, I hit it +- 100m out with white mussel or some red bait.

And best of all, I was still "holding back" on more power as I did not want to "over estimate" my casting ability. The combination is so light, just incredible.
