Firstly, I have not bought from to many angling shops in Joburg. Thus any suggestions on shops with the best price on kit?

I stay in Midrand, so any suggestions welcome.

What Im looking for:

Im looking for a 5-7oz 13ft surf rod, to pair with my trini30 (havent been on a rod for almost 10yearsbw_l_) ) Looking to keep cost below R1500

Then my Penn Sargus 4000 gave up. Any nice suggestions for a 4000 reel replacement, also not looking to spend more than a R1000.

Any help would be appreciated

Ganis in Witbank has the best prices, their courier is pretty fast.
The only thing is not all items in stock are listed on the website so it's best to call first. The customer service is excellent, they will advise on what the best combo would be in your price range.

regarding a replacement for the 4000 size reel. have a look at the big boss 3 4000 or 600 size, very good reels for their price, and they are also priced around the R1k mark

Cool, thanks for the advice guys.

Posponed the real for now, but ordered a 13ft ASSASSIN EDGE SURF CASTING, dont need best rod, just something to hopefully get a few edibles or small sharks. Only use it 2-3 days a year, haha
