Hi all,

Had the pleasure of being hijacked at gunpoint in my driveway at 6:20pm on Tuesday by a bunch of #*&#(%@. Anyhow, they got away with my car which had my entire tackle box in, full of everything that I have been building up over the last 6 years along with a saltist 50 full of berkley whiplash & a 1 month old trinidad TN20. I know it's  long shot but if you guys see/hear of anything like that for sale...

:(

Eish William... really sorry to hear about your loss, bud. This is never a nice thing to happen to anybody. Luckily, you're OK and weren't hurt. Thats something to be thankful for... fishing reels are one thing, but your life is another... glad you're ok and no-one else got in the way...

Thank God you were not hurt overwind! Its still beyond me that we work so hard for the stuff we got and so &^%$#@ punks can just come and take it away without thinking twice. And all this for money for the next good time!

May God bless you with much better tackle bro!

Hey Overwind,

The most important thing is u are OK. Everything else can be replaced.

I hope the hijackers meet with a fate worse than death.

One things for sure .. who ever buys that stolen tackle will NEVER catch anything. Instead he might just get something worse coming his way!

Thanks for the good wishes everyone it is really appreciated. My wife is taking serious strain at the moment so this has been a rather unpleasant week to say the least. You are all right in the fact that at least we are okay, it was very close.

The SAPS apparently found my car today in Warner Beach smashed into a curb and gutted, going to have a look tomorrow. :(

Phew..u lucky to be here mate..all it would have taken was a wrong move and they would have gotten trigger happy..i suggest checking every local tackle shop and pawn shop..they definately would have taken it there since they seemed to have dumped the car..i hope the car was insured...

think off it this way...it wasn't your time to go cos u still got fish to pull and new tackle to buy...god bless...

Like all the posts say, there's still something pos in this kinda situation, you got away safely and that's the most important thing, still it doesn't make it any better cause the fact that it happened is enough to shock your system really bad, not to even mention the loss of tackle and the 6 years it took to get it to where it was.

But know one thing, them #@$$$#%^ will have to stand up for what they did and they will get whats coming to them, may God bless You's so that you not only deal with this trauma very quickly and succesfully but also with new and better tackle and fish big enough to 1 day find those ^%$#@$#$ next to the road hungry like hell and you able to still give them that fish, whilst reminding them what they did. it will kill them inside, to know that you're still a better man than they'll ever B!!!!

Again, thank the Lord, you've survived the ordeal!!!!!
