Most prawns I pumped at Muizies on Tuesday were in excess of 10cm.Lekker dik buggers-probably brought up on Mieliepap,lol.I try and rebury the tiny babes, anything under 6cm,as there's not enough meat on these guys,and if you don't bury them ole Seagull Nelson,who watches your every move,has himself a prawn cocktail feast.

U right... i did not bury mine - no wonder that seagull saluted me with his wing as i left - will be sure to put them babies back in the mud next time.. thanx for the tip.

Prawns are Much Smaller in the lagoon,and is a different type of prawn as opposed to the beach.

And if memory serves me correctly,you may be subjected to fines if caught pumping prawns at lagoons or vleis, whereas the sea is legal if you have valid permit.
