Hi

Went down to the beach opposite the virginia airport... looks like a great stretch of beach with some sandbanks in casting distance. In addition the sea lice were wild there, has anyone had any good catches at that beach with sea lice? I am sure the Stumpies and Pomapano's must be loose down there?

Hi chris

Fish that Virginia and beachwood quite often when i'm down in durbs.Excellent fishing ground for Flat fish especially skates.Best bait to use there is Chokka/red eye belly mix with a skirt on the top for a bit of attraction. The last time i was there a guy told me that they were picking up some grunters as well when it gets dark but it's not safe to fish there at night.

Hi,

I live just up the road and fished that strecth many times, no catches other than Shad on the odd day. The water looks great there, maybe overfished?

The guys with 4x4's seem to do better south from there in front of Hyper by the Sea.

Dunno if you had any feedback other than on this post.

That place has become more off a family spot now. i also fish there alot. I've never fished there at night (grunter bitting at night) because its extremely dangerous.

i have met many guys who have been robbed there. I have pulled out the odd shad there but if you want something more exciting there are plenty predators to fish for.
