Thanks Poly.

I realise that its a very, very long shot but one never knows. Maybe when the locals sell you prawns in Campismo Palmeiras, they may try and sell you a Saltist for a few mets. :D

Thanks Reefman for helping me out of that one:shock:.

This is off topic but now that I need to replace my Saltist, what would you guys go for in a 50? I'm inclined to go for the Saltist again. Torium, Trindad, Saltiga? I'm a Daiwa man all the way.

Your views?

If you got the bucks... Saltiga is the Rolls. The pro's say that the Trini is not that much better than the Torium, so it's not worth the outlay?? The Cape town waders swear by their Torium's, so you can't go wrong with it, but I still love my Saltist!!

Hi there

Have a look at the new 50 sh Daiwa.....It is a bit cheaper than the Saltist and it hasd a power handle and deeper spool for more line capacity. Sells for around R1000.00

tight lines no reel to scream.

I opted fpr the Torium thanks. Filled the spool with 300m suffix braid and 200m high abrasion. Now I'm ready for those Bronzies. My fishing season starts Sunday, one day after the fast!!!!
