There is an old story (sworn to be the truth!) about a fisherman on a chukkie in Falsebay that somehow lost his teeth overboard. Later on they were gutting their catch and one of the other guys took his teeth out and pretended to find it inside one of the fish he was cleaning. Hey, here's your teeth - the fish must have taken it when it fell in the water.
They guy apparantly took the teeth, rinsed it in the sea, put it in his mouth, sat for a while and then promptly threw it overboard. "Nee, dissie myne nie".

Guys,

I think I have the source of the teeth, don't know how far they were found from where we were but worth a try.

A group of freinds took our dad's out on a fishing trip to Umtentu in the former Transkei about two years ago - Lads and Dads Weekend. Had a blast and a great party. The second day we were there, we decided to do some skinny dipping and relieve any odours from the armpits. While in the water, my freind's dad later also stripped down and came into the water with the two of us - he had a set of false teeth similar to these in his mouth. While playing around, my freind told his dad to face his back to the waves, bend slightly forward, and show the wave it's future. His luck, as he did this, a large wave hit him on his sensitive parts from behind. It took him by total surprise. He got such a fright with all the water around him, he leaned forward and the teeth literally "jumped" out his mouth. Next he was down on his knees trying to find his teeth but the water was so foamy he could not see a thing. We had seen this all unfold before us and the only way to stop us from drowning thro all the laughter was to get our buts back on dry land.

He was the laugh of the weekend and had to get another set made up when we reached home.

Clydes.
