The Boatman

That is correct, I was one of the crew onboard the RAMMER and MOFISH was the one in the wrong. wat kind of skipper sits back and allows his boat to drift into another and makes no attemp to move it, THE RAMMER had over 1000 snoek and therefore had no need to use MOfish spot.

We were holding ream when he drifted into us, since there is no damage to our boat we can ony wonder to what lengths this man would go to damage his own boat,

he is a liar and will be facing the consequences when the truth comes out. the skipper of the rammer kept his cool while MOFISH made a comment "that he shoots to kill"

would just like to know what he is smoking!!!

look like  very appropriate name for the boat "rammer":spite

I remember the insodent at hout bay as i was onboard. the mist was a problem both skippers were looking on echoes at the time and neither crew were watching. both skippers realised to late and vessels colided. As a sign of good faith Lorraine was paid for damages and there were no hard feelings anything told other thn that is pure kak

There are a number of issues here:

First, I am a weekender and I promise you that I for one am not jealous of commercials.

Second, it seems very strange, funny, coincidental, that the same boat is involved in multiple collisions over a protracted period. In other words, how many times can one oak accidentally crash into other boats??

But third, and here it is. Rammer has a point, how can we believe any of these accusations when they have not been reported?

If some idiot purposefully rams my boat at sea, he will be facing serious charges after removing my anchor from his scull.

So the question remains, why are all these hard done by guys only now, coming out of the woodwork.

The commercial operators should put in a petition to marine and coastal management to stop all weekenders catching snoek and yellowtail, the result will be less incidents at sea and more fish for the commercials, that are banned from catching their quota of crayfish in season, although they are at sea almost daily.

Seems as though the entire point of me posting this has gotten lost it now seems to be a pissing match between recreational’s and commercials.
Well here it is again, if people cannot behave like mature adults they should not be skippering a boat. That goes for everybody; recreational, commercial, navy - who cares...and that’s my opinion!
The point of this is not to lay blame or try to figure out who is guilty or not. My point is purely to say be careful (not afraid), remove the aggression, and enjoy the resource that is the right of all South Africans.
So guys, TAKE A BREATH, have a smoke or a massage or whatever calms you down. Hopefully we all don’t cock up a privilege we should be looking after for our children!
