ever wondered when conditions are perfect and no one lands cob except the one experienced old man of the sea?

heres why.

when waters are close to 16 to 17 degrees and there is plenty of bait fish around, the cob refuses to take on dead baits and this is because they are accustomed to the live action of swimming mullet and other bait fish.

you have two options

option 1
troll your bait slowly and give it a tug so as to create a live action dead bait... your success rate will increase dramatically... you will also feel the aggressiveness at the end of your line.

option 2
soft plastic lures.
west coast cob love the Arkansas Shiner 7 inch mag super flute
as well as the pumpkin seed 5 inch

try these options when nothing else works...
