You can ask Eckart... I am a pain when it comes to lanyards... I just go to Rope world or big catch or wherever... and buy some nice stainless clips and some super strong braid or dynema... Mix them together and you'll have the peace of mind you're looking for! Easy to make too... Lanyards, Lanyards, Lanyards... Sorry for your loss mate. Truly!

Cheers, Andie

Hi there

Drag was to tight and busy helping some one else break a snoek neck. saw the bight rod goes down and as i was almost there Rod just pulled out of the boat. I took off all my rod stands because i am fitting new ones. So it was not really secured.

Anyway finish crying >Hope someone catches that snoek with it still dragging it along with it and you guys can let me know if you find it.

Thanks

Sorry to hear about the rod fishy boy, I know the feeling, lost a rod and reel in a similar was a few years back!

And for todays report! Fish bit all over, buffles sounded best, I heard of boats with 30s a man and I heard of others up to 80 a man!
Hout bay was also good, boats were off kommetjie and slangkop lighthouse, heard of 30s a man with a few boats doing better!
No reports from robben!

As per usual, the swell on Sunday has picked up to 4m. And then it drops to 2m on monday again. Typical! The wind is still pretty low though. Anyone going to brave Robben Island on Sunday?

Howzit

Had good look at weather for Robben on Saturday evening at 8pm the wind will change direction from NW to SW and blow all the way till early hours of sunday which is a good wind for flattening the Tablebay. Then by 8am there will be little or zero wind.I it wont be a pond but will be good to go atleast by 10am.If it stays like that.

Atleast thats what i predict

cheers

^^..

CEO its starting to look like you may be right, swell has dropped off some more, hopefully it will keep coming down, I'll still be out there if it stays like this, going out on TRIPS yacht which can handle to big sea. We all have too bad a case of snoekelitus to go more than a week without catching! :)
