Hey all,

I trust that you are all well and looking forward to the festive season.

I was curious and wanted some advise on lures:

What do you all think works best for:

1- Garrik

2 - Kob

3 - Shad

4 - Geelbeck

I have a range of lures/spoons/plugs/soft plastics/ poppers and never had much luch with them. any advise would be helpful.

Thanks

Peter

My advies aan jou is: Neem drie verskillende kuns ase wat jy dink gaan werk en vang met hulle. As dit werk weet jy. Volgende keer neem jy ander drie saam. Ek het die raad op SeaLine gekry. As jy te veel verskillendes saam neem is jyself op die ou einde deurmekaar en konsentreer dan nie op die visvang nie.

For leeries in the river a Thai stick, flutter stick, rapala skitter walk and normal chiselnose plug is all that you need. The odd bass popper also does wonders...

Thanks guys, yea was in the cape a while ago, got some Garrick on a plug that was fun and in Mozam icked up some nice fish on a spoon, so its starting to work.

New to the lure fishing, one of those who spent a small fortune on lures without really knowing what Im doing lol.... but its goming together now. :)

as important as what to use is when to use it...

i find that dusk works well for garrik and more into dark for cob, shad for some reason seem most abundant in the early mornings and then again at dusk aswell..

cant speak for geelbek as i havent fished deepsea...
