Hi guys i am a very curious person, i dont know if anyone knows about the quarry in waterkloof, in my opinion its our own meteri lake, does anyone know about it, can you fish there?, how dangerous is it really?, can you float tube?, has anyone had any hassels there?..............I was there an hour ago and saw monster bass , i spoke to some of the vagrants and they dont seem so dodgy, they even told me of how to fish there and where. One guy told us of three 4kg bass that were caught within a half an hour by one guy.........and you may call me a liar but 4kg is nothing for that place.....i stumbled apon this place but know nothing about it ........so please someone spread some light for me

thanks

Zucas

Ok Directions.....take hans strijdom towards wterkloof, go past waterkloof high school and continue over the n1 highway, you will go down a hill, go to the next robots and turn right into kierieklapper, then right into cliff ave then, onto skillpad, you will see a veld and tennis courts, the quarry is in that veld, park your car at the petrol garage and walk in via the tennnis courts, and climb through one of the many holes in the fence....be polite to the vagrants, coz this place is very sucluded...Good Luck

Il be there, im always up for some good fishing.....its hard to tell how deep it is, to take a random guess 30 to 50 meters in some areas.....its quite large 1km by maybe 2, hard to tell........have heard stories of barbel that snapped 20kg line, it will be hard to fish from the bank with bait....when last did you see a pic of mteri? that should give you some idea....its more of a bass hole with the clearist water ive ever seen

Ok first of welcome to sealine. Secondly, That ground belongs to an old police guy and believe me i have heard of people that he has shot at for trespassing. Also t is really not safe as most of the thugs and criminals that do their rounds in waterkloof hang around there. There is a road that you can drive in and there is a security guard there. I was told in the past you could bribe him to fish there but the last wile or when I wanted to go I was stopped and the owner was there with in 2 min.
I have also seen some huge bass there but unfortunately have not fished it

What would you suggest Johan? Do we ask permission? Do we just sneak in and get shot? Do we rather stay home and drink there?

Johan, jy het nou regtig die wind uit my seile uit jong! Ek was erg opgewonde!

Good luck with that Ryan

Het so 6 maande gelede laas daar gevang.
