Hello all,

I was wondering if one you sealiners perhaps knows of a spot in Bellville to catch some nice bass. DK (Doordekraal) requires alot of special permits and there is a huge dillema going on if fishing is allowed or not.

Any other dams? I need to hook some big bass on my new gear. Anything fairly near Bellville is appreciated!

If you know off any lodges or "plaasdamme" that is anything up to a hours drive from Bellville please post it. Could go for a weekend.

Thanks again,
BL

UPDATE: Apparently there is a nice dam at Hillcrest Quarry. Gonna go there within the next week hopefully and update.

Howzit. Hillcrest Quarry is fairly expensive to go to. If you do go, take some Suspending Jerkbaits ;)

Thanks a lot! I will remember that. Do you have any other dam names?

Anyone have some info on Fish Haven? Apparently has some bass.
(Not the guest house in Hermanus)

There is Le Bonheaur(Croc farm, Fischerhaven on Bottlery road and Rosendal. Have a few private dams out in Stanford as well(Past Hermanus).

Those Stanford dams sound very interesting. We have a small cabin in the kleinrivier lagoon not far from Stanford. So that is ideal. Will PM you for more info.

You can try Fisherhaven just outside Brackenfell.

I went there in December and there were lots of good sized fish that were relatively easy to catch.

The dam was a bit murky when I went there (apperantly because of the East wind blowing to much), but with the right aproach you can still get good fish.

The owner's name is Dawid and his number is 084 531 8734.
