Well before admin deletes this ,I just want to throw my 2c in again. Herman is sitting with SS’s money. If SS just gave up on the whole thing some time ago he would have been out of pocket and that in my book makes Herman not such a nice dude. It’s not as though SS is waiting for a part or service and then payment happens. How hard can it be to finish off those lures and post it. That is (one of) the problem with society today. We get bad service and we lap it up and go back for more. If SS takes a stand even if it’s for a couple of bucks…well then I take my hat off to him. We do not know what all was said to each other via pm’s or otherwise but again I say ,how hard could it be for someone that is as good as Herman in his field to finish the lures and send it.
If it was me ,I would have sorted this out with extra lures in case other potential buyers or my friends see the thread.

I received the refund from Herman, thanks Herman and I'm glad we can finally put this behind us.

As promised, I withdraw my comments where I accused you of being a scammer and fraudster and I apologise for that. I no longer consider you a thief, you were just unreliable in the end.

Good on you Slimy and Herman, now show us a pic of the slimy monster you catch with that lone pumpkinseed. Where do we get more? Hope you are making stock mate.. :)

Here's the one I caught on Herman's lure two weekends ago. I was experimenting with Lume, Sada and Herman lures for the day. The Lume lures worked great but the larger sizes are too heavy, the Sada broke on the first catch and I lost a monster and the Herman lure caught the largest specimen for the day in windy conditions.

Thanks, that's a Bloemhof barbel, so the primary food source is carp.

I'm glad this got resolved.

Herman, on your web page you mention your Patented Roto-Hook system, but I can't find a patent for it. Can you kindly post a link to the patent or just the patent number? I want to understand what makes it different from all the other rotating hook hangers out there. Thanks.

Hi Fai-lure

I actually have to change that on the website, at the time I designed that webpage it was patent pending almost registered,I paid patent attorneys did all the sketches , drafts photos etc etc, but shortly after that, a big lure company ( whose name I may not mention due to ongoing legal issues ) came up with the same design...more or less ( remember to register your own patent you only have to make a 15% change on an existing patent, which is also only valid for 20 years..)...so eventually I put it on ice and offered it to them, they wanted to buy it...a legal battle started...and is still ongoing...8 years later...

I came up with the idea of rotating hooks after studying the way a barbel does a "death roll" in shallow water the same way a croc does, and also when fish jumps and do aerial "cartwheels"...if you keep tension on the line, they unhook themselves using the fulcrum effect, but if the hooks rotate they don't get leverage and cant use the fulcrum move against you...

Just for interest, if you do a patent through a patent attorney, it costs between R 7000 and R 12000, and if you want to register it in the US for example it will cost you R 20000 to R 30000...it takes roughly six months...you can also register a patent via the government, for much less, but it takes 2 years plus apparently...and I don't trust them...
